New Orleans shotgun undergoes dramatic transformation

Mollie came to us with big dreams for her cozy 750-square-foot shotgun home. She loved her space but needed more room and amenities to truly make it her dream home. We took on the challenge of her small lot and turned it into a stunning 2-bedroom, 2.5-bath home by adding a second story—and so much more.

Her expanded home now features a luxurious master suite with a walk-in closet, double shower, double vanity, and even a kitchenette. The modern kitchen with a cozy sitting area flows seamlessly onto a new back deck, perfect for relaxing or entertaining. Guests have their own private suite with a full bath, and we added thoughtful touches like an outdoor shower, a storage shed, off-street parking, and plenty of extra storage throughout.

Mollie wanted a design that felt classic yet unique, and we delivered with an elegant black-and-off-white color scheme, reclaimed wood details, exposed cypress beams, and a mix of modern and vintage fixtures. Her transformed home is now a perfect reflection of her style and needs—and we’re thrilled to have been part of her journey!
